On January 29, 1820, Eugene Bacon, Liberty County, used as collateral on a promissory note of $305 to Uriah Wilcox, same place, “two certain negroes, viz. A female slave named Affy, with her increase & a male slave, a small boy, named Franklin.” Witnessed by M. M. Caswell. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on February 3, 1820.
