Enslaved People Named: Jean, Will
Recorded on January 23, 1810, was an account of the sales of the personal property of Mrs. Ann Oswald, deceased. It included furniture, hogs, sheep, horses and cattle, as well as “the hired of wench Jean for 1 year,” which was purchased by Josiah Wilson for $10, and “the hire [of] boy Will for 1 year,” which was purchased by Daniel Stewart for $16. James C. Bowler was the auctioneer. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on January 3, 1810.
