Enslaved People Named: Leavon

On May 21, 1808, Joshua Sanford, Constable of the 17th Militia Company District of Liberty County, sold to Reason Swilly for $150 “one negroe boy about seven years old by the name of Leavon” “and sold as the property of Elias Cassels at the instant of John Ross and others.” Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on July 29, 1808.
