On February 25, 1830, Bartholomew A. Busby, Liberty County, used as collateral on a promissory note of $1050 to Ralph and William King, merchants and copartners, doing business in the City of Savannah under the firm of R and W King, Chatham County, “the following nine negro slaves, to wit, Frank, Sylvia, Cato, Tom, Lydia, Charles, Jim, Adam and an infant child, with the future issue and increase of the said female slaves.”  Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on April 29, 1830. [NOTE: This mortgage was marked as satisfied in full as of November 10, 1847 by R & W King. Satisfaction Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on on February 2, 1847.
