Deed of Gift (Bacon/Way)

On October 21, 1829, John Bacon, Liberty County, gifted the following people to his children by transferring them to Moses W. Way, also of Liberty County, in trust for them:

To his son Joseph Richard Bacon: “a negro woman slave named Willoughby, about eighteen years old”;

To his daughter Mary William Bacon: “a negro girl slave named Jenny, about fourteen years old”; 

To his son James Wilson Bacon: “my negro girl slave named Murriah, about fourteen years old”; and 

To his son Alfred Roderick Bacon: “a negro girl slave named Patty, about twelve years old.”
