The following notice from Peter J. Goulding Esquire was exhibited to the Court.

To the Clk [Clerk] of the Inferior Court of Liberty County

I wish you to file this as my objections against those negroes which you sent me a list of as free persons of color I claim as the property of John Goulding deceased that I am the only lawful heir of said deceased.

September 8th 1819 Peter J. Goulding

Ordered that Mr. Goulding’s claim be considered and investigated on Thursday the 19th instant; and that the said Peter J. Goulding be notified by the Clerk of this appointment.

Tuesday 19th of October 1819

Their Honors, the Justices, attended agreeably to appointment. Present Thomas Bacon, James S. Bradwell, Thomas Mallard & Josiah Wilson Esquires.
