However, on November 10, 1785, Coddington and Rees petitioned Thomas Baker, Register of Probate, to extend the deadline for the inventory by one month, pleading “indisposition and other unavoidable causes.” It was granted. The inventory warrant was dated December 13, 1784 and the appraisers were sworn on March 8, 1785.
