Georgia. In the Name of God, Amen. I Allis Cole of the Town of Sunbury in the
County of Liberty and State aforesaid, being sick and weak in Body, but of Sound mind, Memory and
Understanding, Do make and Publish this my last Will and Testament in Manner and form following, to wit
I Give my Soul to God who gave it and my Body to the earth from whence it came to be Buried in a Decent and
Christian like Manner at my Own expense and at the Discretion of my Executors herein after Named –
2dly. I Give and bequeath unto my Beloved Son John Cole and My Daughter, Harriet Cobb wife of Japheth
Cobb of Sunbury Merchant; My Dwelling house, and all the Out houses & Buildings thereunto Appertaining or
belonging with the Lot of Land of Land whereon the same now stands in the Town of Sunbury Containing
Seventy feet in Front and One hundred and thirty feet in Depth and known by the Number Eighty eight. To them
and their Heirs Forever. The same to be Valued in Case of their not Agreeing within themselves, by Indifferent Persons
and one or the other to make such payment as shall be Satisfactory to the Other, which when Compleated shall give
a free & final Discharge to the Party so complying; – Thirdly. I Give & Bequeath unto My Daughter Harriett
Cobb One Bed & Furniture thereunto belonging, with all my Household Furniture except such as is hereafter
Mentioned to her and her Heirs forever, – Fourthly. I Give and Bequeath unto my Son James Cole
One Feather Bed & Furniture. Also I give unto my Grand Daughter, Rhoda Cole, One Feather Bed & Beding for
her Own Use & Behoof. – Fifthly I Give and bequeath unto My Daughter Susannah Cole, and My Daughter Ann
Goldsby and Mary Ellerby and Rhoda Shaw, the sum of Twenty Shillings Sterling to be paid to each of them
by my Executors; Sixthly I Give and Bequeath unto my Sons. Mark Cole: Baptist Cole, and Their Heirs the sum
of One Pound to be Paid to each of them by my Executors, And Lastly all the rest residue & Remainder of my
worldly goods and effects whatsoever I give devise and Bequeath unto my Executors, And I hereby Nominate and –
appoint, Japheth Cobb and John Cole, Executors of This my Last Will & Testament, hereby revoking all
former Will and Wills by me heretofore made. In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal
this Twelfth day of June One Thousand seven hundred & Eighty seven & the Eleventh Year of American Independance –

Thomas Baker Register of Probate for the County
of Liberty, Stafford Somarsall, who being duly
sworn deposeth and saith that he is one of the subscribing
Witnesses to the within Instrument of Writing, and that he did
see Alis Cole, the within named Testator sign seal and
declare the same to be her last Will and Testament
and that he, and Robert V. g Pearson, and John Lawson
Junr. J. P did each of them at the Request of the said Alis
Cole, and in her Presence, and in the Presence of each
other subscribe their Names as Witnesses thereto.
