On November 26, 1857, Elizabeth Perry, Bryan County gifted to her son Isaac Perry, Bryan County, “all those two negroe slaves to wit Grace aged about thirty two years and her son William aged about fourteen years of age.” Elizabeth Perry signed by mark, indicating illiteracy. Recorded in Bryan County Superior Court on January 28, 1857.
