On May 1, 1797, at Darling Hall, Robert Weatherly sold to John Evans for $200 “a negroe wench named Pender,” described as “formerly…of David Rees.” Witnessed by Joshua Allston, John Ashmore. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on May 4, 1797.
