On May 12, 1821, Moses Way used as collateral on a promissory note of $800 to Uriah Wilcox “a male slave named Jacob, & two female slaves named Mary & Betty.” Witnessed by Samuel Gorham, Edward S. Kempton. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on June 4, 1821.
