On January 20, 1821, John Stewart, Riceboro, Liberty County, sold to William Robarts, administrator of the Thomas M. Kallender estate, for $650 “a negro man, George.” Witnessed by William Baker, Robert P. Burton. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on January 31, 1821. Written on this deed was “I assent to the within sale of the fellow George. D. Stewart.”
