On April 13, 1818, Josiah Wilson, planter of Liberty County, sold to Samuel Jones Jr, planter of Liberty County, for $928 “a certain negro man slave Darby, formerly the property of Andrew Knox of Savannah.” Witnessed by Hermon Hoadley. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on May 30, 1818.
