Enslaved People Named: Nancy, Peggy

On January 23, 1818, Alexander Martin, planter of Liberty County, gifted to his daughter Elizabeth Martin “a negro girl by the name of Nancy, a daughter of Peggy.” Witnessed by S.M. Kallender, George Kershaw. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on February 7, 1818.
