On February 2, 1816, Jedidiah Field agreed to pay Dorothy VanYeveren, widow of Liberty County,  $3010 over a period of years. He noted that on the same day he had entered into an agreement to hire “seven negroes, to wit, Cyrus, Sharper, Sambo, Jack, Laura, with her child Blindy, & Old Bowson” for $225 per year. In order to better secure the payment of the $3010 and the $225 annually, he used as collateral “the following negro slaves, that is to say, Charles, Jan, Flora, Sally, Mary, Sina, Cinder [alt: Cinda], George, Tom, Mazey, Cinder a child, Emma, Adam, Abraham and John.” Witnessed by John Kell. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on May 16, 1816. 

On the same day, Jedidiah Field also used as collateral on a promissory note of $1500 to Dorothy VanYeveren a 400-acre tract of land bounded south by the estate of Samuel Salters, west by Doctor Thomas Stevens, north by estate of James McCollough, and east by land formerly belonging to Elijah Lewis deceased. Witnessed by John Kell, Alexander McIver. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on May 16, 1816.

On the same day, Jedidiah Field also used as collateral on a promissory note of $1200 to Dorothy VanYeveren lots 83 and 84 in the town of Sunbury.
