On May 1, 1815, James Dunwody, Liberty County, used as collateral on a promissory note of $2000 to Charles W. Rogers, physician of Sunbury, Georgia, the following negro slaves, named Billy, Monday, Fortune, Tenah, Flora, Jane, Bob & Sandy the children of Flora, Elsey and John her child, with the future issue of the females.” Witnessed by William Ward, Alexander McIver. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on June 8, 1815.
