Enslaved People Named: Ned, Billy, Scipio, Judy

On December 31, 1814, John Winn Junior, Liberty County, gifted to Peter Winn for his use during his lifetime only, “the following negro slaves; namely Ned, Billy, Scipio, Judy and the increase of the said Judy.” At Peter Winn’s death, the enslaved individuals were to be returned to John Winn Jr. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on January 3, 1815.
