On March 4, 1814, Thomas F. Bacon, planter of Liberty County, used as collateral on a promissory note of $1651.20 to Ralph May of Savannah “the following negro slaves; viz. Tuesday & Rose, Sunday & Hagar, Peter & Sue, Caddy, Tom, Kenny and her two children, Rachel & Solomon.” Witnessed by T. Delegal, John Lewis of Savannah. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on April 9, 1814.
