On December 31, 1808, John B. Gibbons sold to Jesse Durrence of Liberty County for $495 “a negroe man named Jim…” Witnessed by John Deloatch [signed by mark], Henry Godwin [signed by mark]. John D. Deloach [spelled differently this time] probated the deed on May 12, 1809. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on May 15, 1809.
