Enslaved People Named: Stepney, Ceasar, Lucy

On April 9, 1805, William Lambright, planter of Liberty County, used as collateral on a promissory note of $630 to Thomas Lanchester, merchant of North Newport,  “the following slaves that is to say, one negro man Slave named Stepney, aged twenty one years, one other negro man slave named Ceasar [alt: Caesar] aged twenty years and girl Lucy, aged eight years.” Witnessed by Samuel Lewis, John Lewis.
