On June 19, 1801, John Jones, Liberty County, used as collateral on a promissory note of $1104 to Simon Fraser “the following negro slaves, viz, Jacob, Sandy, Charles and Monday.” Witnessed by Lac. [Lachlan] McIntosh. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on June 6, 1804.
