On September 24, 1787, Elizabeth Wright, Savannah, Chatham County, sold to Henry Wood, Liberty County for 10 pounds sterling “a Certain Negroe Boy named Harry, about Eleven years of age…” Witnessed by Jacob Wood. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on September 26, 1787.
