On March 7, 1787, John McIntosh, Liberty County, sold to Persiana Lockerman, same place, for 700 pounds “the following negro Slaves to Wit, Tom, Solomon, Robin, Pompey, Bess, Rose, Mariah, Plimouth [alt: Plymouth], Cate, Ned, Hagar, Agnis [alt: Agnes], Juliet and Romeo.” Witnessed by Lac. [Lachlain] McIntosh, Sarah Maxwell. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on November 14, 1788.
