On an unspecified date, Uriah Wilcox reported that the mortgage “of slaves” made to him by Henry N. Butler and recorded in Liberty County Superior Court Book I, page 330, on March 5, 1829, had been satisfied. [NOTE: Although no names were given in this record, the earlier mortgage contained the names Mile and Hetty.]
