On April 28, 1831, Alexander Stewart, Liberty County, used as collateral on a promissory note of $120 to Uriah Wilcox, Liberty County, “a certain male slave named Jim, & a female slave named Nancy.” Witnessed by G.W. Dunham. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on May 5, 1831.
