On March 3, 1831, Ann Axson, Liberty County, used as collateral on a promissory note of $2500 to Richard F. S. Axson, Liberty County, “all and singular the following named negroes, to wit, July, Bess, Judy, Dick, Solomon, Rose, John, Lucy, Joe.” Witnessed by Saccharissa E. Jones, M.L. Jones.

Attached to this mortgage was a note dated March 3, 1831 from Richard F.S. Axson assigning his right to the mortgage to Ralph King & William King of Savannah, factors doing business under the name R & W King. Witnessed by M.L. Jones and J.N. Lewis. 

 Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on April 23, 1831. 

[NOTE: This mortgage was marked as satisfied as of July 13, 1832 per R & W King. Satisfaction recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on May 30, 1833.]
