On March 16, 1829, Uriah Wilcox reported that a mortgage of “a negro slave,” previously recorded in Book I, page 216, on March 12, 1827, had been satisfied. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on March 17, 1829. [NOTE: Although this deed did not report her name, it was recorded in the mortgage referred to, made by Odingsell W. Hart, as Hagar.]
