On March 21, 1829, Alexander Stewart, Liberty County, used as collateral on a promissory note of $111.12 to Uriah Wilcox, Liberty County, “a certain male slave named Jim, about fourteen years of age.” Witnessed by D.R. Perry. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on March 26, 1829.
