On April 9, 1829, John W. Stacy, Liberty County, used as collateral on a promissory note of $317.33 to Uriah Wilcox, Liberty County, “two female slaves named Kate & Daphne, together with their future issue & increase.” Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on April 13, 1829.
