On March 14, 1829, Smith S. Hart, Liberty County, used as collateral on a promissory note of $111.31 to Uriah Wilcox, Liberty County, “a certain female slave named Judy, together with her future issue & increase.” Witnessed by D.R. Perry. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on March 23, 1829.
