Enslaved Persons Named: Jenny, Ruth, Jack, Sary, Molly, Ally, Silvia

On December 19, 1828, Alfred Cuthbert, Jasper County, used as collateral on a promissory note of $3000 to John C. Nicoll of Savannah, “the following negro slaves being eight in number, to wit, Bristol, Jenny, Ruth, Jack, Sary, Molly, Ally & Silvia” and a 1000-acre tract of land called Good Hope, in Liberty County, bounded on the East by land belonging to John Stevens, on the South by the North Newport River, on the West by the land of Josiah Wilson, & on the north by land belonging to William Ward. Witnessed by William S.L. Robinson. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on March 14, 1829.
