On May 18, 1829, William S. Baker, planter, Liberty County, used as collateral on a promissory note of $765.77 to Uriah Wilcox, Liberty County, “a certain female slave named Lydia, & her three children, Lucy, Betty & Ishmael; & a male slave named Little Harry, & his brother named Ned, & sister named Charlotte, together with the future issue & increase of the females.” Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on May 19, 1829.
