On May 18, 1829, Thomas Baker, planter, Liberty County, used as collateral on a promissory note of $702.39 to Uriah Wilcox, trader,, Liberty County, “a certain male slave named June, & his wife named Venus, & their children named Cupid, Diana, June & Jack, and a female slave named Dinah.” Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on May 19, 1829. [NOTE: Marked as satisfied per Uriah Wilcox. Satisfaction Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on January 29, 1835.]
