On June 2, 1829, Richard S. Baker, Liberty County, used as collateral on a promissory note of $1520.69 to Uriah Wilcox, Liberty County, “a female slave named Satira, & her six children, named Polydore, Peter, Tom, Celia, Little Chloe & Nanny; & the son of said Nanny named Crawford; & a male slave named Mingo; & two female slaves named Katy & Maria.” Witnessed by D.R. Perry. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on June 8, 1829.
