On February 14, 1828, Smith S. Hart, Liberty County, used as collateral on a promissory note of $90 to Uriah Wilcox, Liberty County, “a certain female slave named Judy, together with her future issue & increase.” Witnessed by Rodney Pease. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on February 15, 1828.
