On May 27, 1828, J.V.L. Corker, Liberty County, used as collateral on a promissory note of $509.96 to Maxwell & King, City of Savannah, “all the following negro slaves, to wit, Robin, Toney, Will, Tom and Flora.” Witnessed by B. King. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on July 23, 1828.
