Enslaved Persons Named: Chloe

On February 12, 1828, Ann Harris, Liberty County, sold to Mrs. Elizabeth Nelmes, same place, for $230 “a certain negro girl slave, about twelve years old…named Chloe.” Witnessed by P.D. Hathway, W.P. Girardeau. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on November 18, 1828.
