Enslaved Persons Named: Kate

On May 1, 1827, Samuel Stevens, Liberty County, sold to Elijah Baker for $240 “a certain female negro slave named Kate, about eighteen years of age.”  Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on May 2, 1827.
