On March 27, 1826, John Somarsall, Liberty County, gifted to his wife, Elizabeth Somarsall, the following property to wit, Old Tom, Young Tom, Plenty and Tamar, with a stock of cattle and household furniture. Likewise, a small farm, known by the name of Mount Good Hope, containing two hundred acres of land, bounded by John Stevens on the North and East, by North Newport river on the South, and by lands of Alfred Cuthbert on the West…” WItnessed by John W. Popham. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on April 1, 1826.
