On March 13, 1826, D. [Daniel] Stewart, administrator of the estate of John Stewart, sold to Jonathan Gaulding for $900 “four negro slaves, Mary & her three children, Joe, Louisa, & Eliza.” Witnessed by Wm. [William] Robarts. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on March 24, 1826.
