On October 31, 1823, Ann E. Mara sold to James Shannon for $350 “a negro woman named Chloe (said Chloe is the wife of Anthony, and is forty five years of age, or thereabouts)…” Deed probated by Ann E. Mara on March 1, 1826. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on March 13, 1826.
