Enslaved Persons Named: Kate, Hagar, Quamina, Tenant

On April 21, 1825, William N. Way, Liberty County, used as collateral on a promissory note of $330.50 to Uriah Wilcox, same county, “a certain female slave named Kate, & her three children named Hagar, Quamina & Tenant [maybe Tenah?], together with the future increase of the females.” Witnessed by Edward Way. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on April 25, 1825.
