On March 18, 1825, Benjamin Law, Liberty County, used as collateral on a promissory note of $212.87 to James Anderson & Company, of Savannah, Chatham County, “”a negro slave named Midway.” Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on February 3, 1826.
