Enslaved Persons Named: London, Rosanna, Isaac, London

On December 18, 1824, Jacob H. Dunham, Liberty County, used as collateral on a promissory note of $800 to William Dunham, McIntosh County, “the following negro slaves viz London, Rosanna, Isaac and London, a child, together with the future issue of Rosanna.” William Dunham had acted as security for a promissory note Jacob Dunham had written to the Bank of Darien, and Jacob used the enslaved people as collateral to secure him against loss. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on March 21, 1825.  [NOTE: Marked as satisfied by Geo. W. Dunham, “Admr,” as of August 22, 1833. Satisfied entered on February 19, 1834.]
