Enslaved Persons Named: Jeffery, Jim, Toby, Bella, Betty, Patty, Diana, Caty, Sam, Will, Betty, Elsy, Dick, Rosanna, Sally, Prince

On April 19, 1824, Joseph S. Baker, Liberty County, sold to John O. Baker, Liberty County, for $4000 “sixteen negro slaves, whose names are as follows: Jeffery, Jim, Toby, Bella, Betty, Patty, Diana & her four children: namely, Caty, Sam, Will & Betty; also Elsy, & her children, Dick, Rosanna, Sally and Prince; being in all three men, five women & eight children.” Witnessed by Wm. [William] Robarts, Wm. [William] Osgood. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on January 19, 1826.
