Enslaved Persons Named: Molly, Bob, Eliza, Rose

On February 14, 1825, Thomas W. Bacon, Liberty County, used as collateral on a promissory note of $280.31 to Uriah Wilcox, also of Liberty County, “a certain female slave, named Molly (about twenty eight years of age) & her three children, Bob, Eliza, & Rose, together with the future issue of the females…” Witnessed by John F. Williams. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on February 17, 1825. 

On February 12, 1827, Uriah Wilcox signified that he had been paid in full, and satisfaction of the mortgage was recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on on the same day.
