On May 25, 1824, John G. Baker sold to Robert P. Burton for $275 “a certain negro boy named Jack.” Witnessed at Riceboro, Liberty County, by Thomas J. Shepard, Samuel Baker. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on May 31, 1824.
