On September 2, 1823, Samuel Jones sold to Nathaniel Varnedoe for $2000 “eight negroe slaves viz. Titus, Harry, April, Juno, Nancy, Hannah, Phillis [alt: Phyllis] and John.” Witnessed by William Jones, John Way Sr. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on May 8, 1824.
