Enslaved Persons Named: Abram, Isaac

On January 19, 1837, Robert J. Wheeler, Liberty County, put up as collateral to Saml [Samuel] and William Spencer, also of Liberty County, “two certain male Slaves named Abram & Isaac…” This was to indemnify them against loss for having acted as security for him on a promissory note of $216 to Uriah Wilcox. Witnessed by H.M. Stevens. Probated by H.M. Stevens on February 20, 1837. Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on February 27, 1837.
