On March 12, 1837, William Hughes, Liberty County, used as collateral on a promissory note of $1230 to N & W Hardee, “factors & commission merchants of the city of Savannah,” “the following negro slaves to wit, Flora, Affa [alt: Affee], Mily [alt: Miley] & Agripa [alt: Agrippa]…” Recorded in Liberty County Superior Court on May 11, 1837.
